Regular Season Round 29: Brissac Anjou - Chartres 100-66

An interesting game took place in Brissac-Quince where higher ranked UB Chartres (19-10) was upset on the court of ninth ranked Brissac-Aubance (14-15) 100-66 on Tuesday. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of UB Chartres. Brissac-Aubance shot 63.6 percent from the field. Brissac-Aubance had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Brissac-Aubance especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by UB Chartres' players. UB Chartres was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized Mali swingman Sourata Cisse (196-86) stepped up and scored 18 points and 8 assists for the winners and American-Nigerian forward Zimmy Nwogbo (201-91, college: Cedarville, agency: Duran International) chipped in 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American forward Will Felder (201-91, college: Miami, OH, agency: Inception Sports) responded with 15 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Olivier Romain (180-88) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Brissac-Aubance moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Boulogne. Loser UB Chartres keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Brissac-Aubance will face higher ranked Lorient (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. UB Chartres will play against Vendee Challans and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
