It looked good early as Fortuna took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas had a 19-15 second period charge getting the lead and Fortuna was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 49-61. Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas forced 20 Fortuna turnovers. The former international point guard Rasa Knyzaite (172-98) notched 19 points to lead the effort and Ukrainian guard Arina Bilotserkivska (170-89) supported her with 7 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas' coach Mantas Sernius allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 15 points and 7 rebounds by the former international guard Andra Gabalyte (179-80, college: Liberty) did not help to save the game for Fortuna. Forward Sandra Baliutaviciute (182-81) added 11 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts.
