There was no surprise in Buenos Aires where 17th ranked Ferrocarril (9-18) was defeated by eleventh ranked Argentino (15-16) 72-65 on Wednesday. The former international point guard Luis Cequeira (180-85) fired 22 points, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Marcos Saglietti (190-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Four Argentino players scored in double figures. American Aaron Harper (203-81, college: Mississippi) produced 16 points and the former international point guard Franco Balbi (185-89) added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Ferrocarril's coach Hernan Laginestra tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Argentino moved-up to ninth place. Loser Ferrocarril keeps the seventeenth position with 18 games lost. Argentino will face GECR Indalo (#11) in Comodoro Rivadavia in the next round.
