Regular Season Round 25: Pordenone - Sesto SG 42-79

Serie A2 top team - Sesto SG (22-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Pordenone (6-19) 79-42. Sesto SG dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Pordenone's 24. Sesto SG forced 22 Pordenone turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Pordenone's players. Serbian guard Sanja Orozovic (183-90) fired 20 points for the winners. The former international forward Elisa Ercoli (190-95, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Sesto SG players scored in double figures. Alice Gregori (178-0) produced 12 points and A Recanati added 5 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sesto SG maintains first place in A2 with 22-3 record. Pordenone at the other side dropped to the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. Sesto SG's next round opponent will be Fanola SML (#16) in San Martino di L which should be another easy win for them. Pordenone will play on the road against Alpo VF in Verona and hope to win that game.
