Eighth ranked DELTA (9-17) crushed at home 9th ranked Sokhumi (1-25) by 42 points 108-66, which is the biggest margin this round. The game without a history. DELTA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Sokhumi's 34. DELTA forced 27 Sokhumi turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. It was a good game for American Deondre Ray (196, college: Cameron) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import point guard Nickolas Neal (183-89, college: Purdue-NCent.) contributed with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Neal is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five DELTA players scored in double figures. Swingman Otari Buliava (198-94) replied with 5 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and Levan Revazashvili (210-92) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Sokhumi. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted DELTA maintains eighth position with 9-17 record. Sokhumi lost twenty third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 25 lost games. DELTA's next round opponent will be higher ranked Mgzavrebi (#7) in Tbilisi and it may be quite challenging game. Sokhumi will play at home against Batumi and hope to win that game.
