Not a big story in a game when 18th ranked Charleville-Mezieres (6-21) was defeated on the road by third ranked Entente Orleans 45 (21-6) 80-64 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back getting tie in the second period and winning the second half and won the game by 16 points. Entente Orleans 45 dominated on the defensive end, holding Charleville-Mezieres to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Entente Orleans 45 forced 20 Charleville-Mezieres turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Kyle McAlarney (183-87, college: Notre Dame) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 5 assists. His fellow American import forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley, agency: Inception Sports) helped adding 16 points. The best for the losing side was American point guard Austen Rowland (186-81, college: Lehigh) with 22 points and 4 assists and Bahamas center Zane Knowles (208-92, college: Texas A&M-CC) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Entente Orleans 45 moved-up to second place, which they share with Roanne. Charleville-Mezieres lost their third game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 21 games lost. Entente Orleans 45 will face ALM Evreux (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Charleville-Mezieres will play against Sluc Nancy (#7) and hope to win that game.
