Regular Season Round 27: Nantes - Quimper 64-65

A very interesting game took place in Nantes. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 15th ranked Nantes (8-19) to seventeenth ranked Quimper UJAP (8-19) 65-64 in the fight for the fifteenth place. Nantes was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. It was a good game for Kevin Mondesir (204-91) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Bernard King (196-81, college: Texas A&M) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Quimper UJAP's coach Laurent Foirest allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American point guard Jamar Diggs (188-88, college: Wofford, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized Ivorian swingman Guy-Landry Edi (202-88, college: Gonzaga, agency: Promotex) added 16 points in the effort for Nantes. The victory was the third consecutive win for Quimper UJAP. They moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Nantes and Poitiers. Quimper UJAP's next round opponent will be league's leader ADA Blois at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
