Herner rallied past Donau-Ries on the road to sweep the series. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TH Wohnbau Angels won third quarter 18-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Herner TC made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Australian power forward Natalie Burton (194-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: LBM Management) notched 9 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the effort and Dutch guard Karin Kuijt (174-90) supported her with 19 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Herner TC's coach Marek Piotrowski allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Jennifer Schlott (168-91, college: Utah St., agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for TH Wohnbau Angels. International forward Luisa Geiselsoeder (189-0) added 12 points for the hosts.
