Serie A2 top team - Empoli (22-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Umbertide (9-16) 71-43. They outrebounded Umbertide 46-35 including 32 on the defensive glass. Czech center Klara Pochobradska (186-89, agency: SPORTlab Agency) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Francesca Rosellini (176-90) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Empoli players scored in double figures.
