Regular Season Round 5: Nunawading S. - BA CoE 72-57

Everything went according to plan in East Burwood where leader Spectres (2-0) won against bottom-ranked BA CoE (0-2) 72-57 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Spectres. BA CoE was better in fourth quarter 14-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Spectres well out of reach of BA CoE shooting 148.4 percent from the field. The best player for the winners was forward Izzy Chilcott (180-90) who scored 15 points (on 10-of-7 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Hanna Zavecz (186-85) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-4 shooting from the field). Four Spectres players scored in double figures. Point guard Shyla Heal (167-1) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-8 shooting from the field) and center Isabelle Bourne (186-0) added 16 points (on 10-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Spectres moved-up to second place in League. Loser BA CoE still closes the standings with two games lost. Spectres will face Diamond Valley Eagles (#4) in Greensborough in the next round. BA CoE will play at home against Sydney Uni S. (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
