Fifteenth-ranked Carugate (6-21) gave a tough game to sixth ranked Milano (16-10) on Saturday. Milano managed to secure only one-point victory 61-60. However their fans expected much easier game. Milano forced 20 Carugate turnovers. Power forward Stefania Guarneri (182-95) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Giulia Maffenini (175-92, agency: Two Points) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Despite that victory Milano went down to seventh position (A2) due to points difference. Loser Carugate keeps the fifteenth place with 21 games lost. Milano will face higher ranked Team Crema (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Carugate will play against Vicenza (#6) and hope to win that game.
