Rather predictable result in Pasadena where leader Sabres (3-0) outscored 6th ranked Bearcats (1-2) 75-47 on Saturday. Sabres dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Bearcats' 32. They outrebounded Bearcats 54-24 including a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Sabres looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Chelsea Brook (188-98) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds. Danni Angley (-95) chipped in 4 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Jasmin Fejo produced 12 points and 4 assists and Michaela Lappin added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Sabres maintains third place in League with 3-0 record having just 2 victories less than leader Ballarat R. Loser Bearcats dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Sabres will face league's second-placed Flames in Marden in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bearcats will play at home against the league's leader Rockets (#1) and hope to win that game.
