Regular Season Round 51: Toyotsu FE - Kanazawa Sam. 92-73

Rather expected game when 4th placed Kanazawa Sam. (24-25) was smashed by first ranked Toyotsu FE (31-19) in Nagoya 92-73 on Saturday. Toyotsu FE shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for American center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Kohei Fukuzawa (177-93) contributed with 24 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Toyotsu FE players scored in double figures. American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds and guard Takaaki Kida (186-95) added 10 points in the effort for Kanazawa Sam.Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyotsu FE maintains first place with 31-19 record. Newly promoted Kanazawa Sam. keeps the fourth position with 25 games lost. Toyotsu FE will face again Kanazawa Sam. (#4) in Ishikawa in the next round.
