Regular Season Round 51: Cyberdyne IR - Shinshu BW 65-62

Fifth-ranked Shinshu BW (23-26) was very close to win a game against third ranked Cyberdyne IR (28-21) in Tsukuba on Saturday. Cyberdyne IR managed to secure only three-point victory 65-62. However their fans expected easier game. It was a good game for American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-91) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Cyberdyne IR players scored in double figures. American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import forward Tim Dezelski (198-90, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Shinshu BW. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Cyberdyne IR have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Loser Shinshu BW keeps the fifth position with 26 games lost. Cyberdyne IR will face again Shinshu BW (#5) in Nagano in the next round.
