Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Tokyo Z (19-31) lost at home to second ranked Kumamoto V. (37-13) 79-67 on Saturday. Kumamoto V. shot 25 for 37 from the free-throw line, while Tokyo Z only scored eight points from the stripe. Tokyo Z was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Dutch-Australian power forward Josh Duinker (209-89, college: Richmond) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Takumi Furuno (179-93) contributed with 17 points and 6 assists for the winners. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Kumamoto V.. They maintain second place with 37-13 record having just six point less than leader Akita NH. Loser Tokyo Z keeps the sixth position with 31 games lost. Kumamoto V. will have a break next round.
