Regular Season Round 26: Zaragoza - Joventut 86-92

Bottom-ranked Joventut managed to get the second consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they won against fourteenth-ranked Zaragoza 92-86. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 47-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Argentinian guard Nicolas Laprovittola (190-90) scored 23 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Polish forward Tomasz Gielo (205-93, college: Mississippi) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. American guard Gary Neal (193-84, college: Towson) responded with 31 points (was perfect 14-for-14 from the free throw line !!!) and the former international point guard Tomas Bellas (185-90) scored 17 points and 8 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Joventut maintains eighteenth position with 6-19 record. Zaragoza at the other side keeps the fourteenth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Burgos. Joventut are looking forward to face league's leader Real Madrid on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Zaragoza will play against Movil Estudiantes (#11) in Madrid and is hoping to win this game.
