Very important is a road loss of third ranked Thunder (1-2) against seventh ranked Sharks (2-1) on Saturday night. Visiting Thunder was crushed by Sharks in Dromana 85-60. Sharks forced 26 Thunder turnovers. Center Olivia Pollerd (187-2) nailed 26 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and swingman Jazmin Shelley (174-0) accounted for 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. American forward Erin Bollmann (180-94, college: SE Missouri St.) came up with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Genna Anderson added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Thunder in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sharks moved-up to fifth place in League. Newly promoted Thunder dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Sharks' next round opponent will be Wildcats (#8) in Eltham. Thunder will play at home against Hume City Broncos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
