Regular Season Round 5: Willetton T. - Geraldton B. 84-107

Everything went according to plan in Willetton where fourth ranked Buccaneers (4-1) outscored 12th ranked Tigers (2-3) 107-84 on Saturday. Buccaneers shot 65.6 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Buccaneers especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Gokul Natesan (196-94, college: Colorado Mines, agency: Haylett Sports) stepped up and scored 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Colter Lasher (201-94, college: Houston Baptist, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 26 points and 7 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Guard Damien Scott (192-92) responded with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and American swingman Jay Bowie (196-92, college: Marist) scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Buccaneers maintains fourth place in League with 4-1 record. Loser Tigers dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. Buccaneers will face league's leader Wanneroo in Joondalup in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tigers will play on the road against Giants (#13) in Kalgoorlie and hope to win that game.
