Regular Season Round 5: Werribee D. - Hume City 95-109

There was a surprise result in Werribee where tenth ranked Hume City Broncos (2-2) beat higher ranked Devils (1-2) 109-95 on Saturday. Forward Luke Egan (200-74, college: E.Washington) stepped up and scored 31 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and American forward Trevon Clayton (198, college: Fresno Pacific) chipped in 24 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). American forward Konor Kulas (201-94, college: S.Dakota Mines) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import forward Bryan Nagy (201, college: Carroll, WI) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hume City Broncos moved-up to fifth place in League. Loser Devils dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. Hume City Broncos will face Knox Raiders (#10) in Wantirna South in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Devils will play at home against Casey C. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
