Second Stage Round 10: T.Hesperange - Contern 95-98

The most exciting game of round 10 in the Total League took place in Hesperange. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers T.Hesperange (13-15) to third ranked Contern (11-17) 98-95 on Saturday evening. Contern outrebounded T.Hesperange 42-30 including 27 on the defensive glass. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Juwan Howard Jr. (200-92, college: Detroit Mercy) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Guard Charles Mann (198-94, college: Georgia, agency: KMG Sports Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Guard Prince Foster (193, college: Angelo St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and forward Pierce Cumpstone (203-94, college: Stonehill) added 30 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for T.Hesperange. Contern maintains third position with 11-17 record having two points less than leader Arantia. T.Hesperange lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the second place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Residence and BC Mess. Contern are looking forward to face league's second-placed Kordall Steelers in Rodange in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. T.Hesperange will play on the road against the league's leader Arantia in Larochette and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
