Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Roma Tiber (11-16) was defeated at home by first ranked Palestrina (23-4) 80-67 on Saturday. Palestrina made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. The former international power forward Alessandro Paesano (203-93) fired 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Gianmarco Rossi (182-90) chipped in 24 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Guard Daniele Ricciardi (184-81) produced 21 points and Matteo Santucci (193-98, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Roma Tiber's coach Marco Polidori tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Palestrina maintains first position in B with 23-4 record. Newly promoted Roma Tiber keeps the eleventh place with 16 games lost. Palestrina will face Catanzaro (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Roma Tiber will play against Scauri and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
