Regular Season Round 31: Prat - Castello 68-69

The most exciting game of round 31 in the LEB Gold took place in Prat. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of much higher ranked CB Prat (23-8) to seventh ranked Castello (17-15) 69-68 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of CB Prat. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 21-7 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Castello dominated on the defensive end, holding CB Prat to just 7 points in third quarter. It was a great evening for Trinidad and Tobago center Kyle Rowley (212-90, college: St.Mary's, CA) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points and 9 rebounds. Icelandic point guard Aegir Steinarsson (185-91, college: Newberry, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) helped adding 18 points. At the losing side Romanian center Emanuel Cate (206-97) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and Canadian-Nigerian guard Caleb Agada (193-94, college: Ottawa, agency: Blacktop Management) scored 16 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Castello maintains seventh place with 17-15 record. CB Prat at the other side keeps the second position with eight games lost. They share it with Manresa. Castello are looking forward to face Lleida Basquet (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CB Prat will play against Palencia Baloncesto (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
