Regular Season Round 21: TTU - Tartu Ulikool 74-88

The game in Tallinn was also quite interesting. Second ranked Tartu Ulikool (18-7) played at the court of 7th ranked TTU (6-18). Tartu Ulikool defeated TTU 88-74 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of TTU. The game was mostly controlled by Tartu Ulikool. TTU was better in second period 31-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TTU was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international forward Kristjan Kitsing (205-90, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American forward Steven Cook (196-94, college: Princeton) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Tartu Ulikool players scored in double figures. Tartu Ulikool's coach Priit Vene used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Levi Giese (206-90, college: Lafayette, agency: Blacktop Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Oliver Metsalu (196-93) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for TTU. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Tartu Ulikool. They maintain second place with 18-7 record having six points less than leader Kalev/Cramo. Loser TTU keeps the seventh position with 18 games lost. Tartu Ulikool will face Valga (#4) at home in the next round. TTU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tallinn to the arena Kalev/Cramo.
