Serie A2 top team - Sesto SG (23-3) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixteenth ranked Fanola SML (5-21) in Sesto San Giovanni 84-63. They outrebounded Fanola SML 47-31 including 18 on the offensive glass. Sesto SG looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Sanja Orozovic (183-90) who scored 22 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). The former international forward Elisa Ercoli (190-95, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Point guard Elena Fietta (167-95) produced 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and center Beatrice Baldi (185-0) added 12 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sesto SG maintains first position in A2 with 23-3 record. Loser Fanola SML keeps the sixteenth place with 21 games lost. Sesto SG will meet Bolzano (#12) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Fanola SML will play against Cagliari CUS (#13) and hope to secure a win.
