Regular Season Round 30: RAC Basket - La Charite 92-86

Very expected game when 11th ranked La Charite (13-17) was defeated on the road by third ranked Rueil (22-8) 92-86 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Rueil looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Point guard Jeremy Bichard (186-90) scored 23 points and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Karim Gourari (204-89) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American point guard Deremy Geiger (181-90, college: Idaho, agency: Blacktop Management) with 26 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Jerrell Wright (203, college: La Salle) scored 13 points. Four Rueil and five La Charite players scored in double figures. Rueil maintains third position with 22-8 record having just one point less than leader Gries/Oberhoffen, which they share with Saint-Quentin. Newly promoted La Charite keeps the eleventh place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Souffel. Rueil will meet SO Maritime Boulogne (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. La Charite will play against the league's second-placed Saint Vallier and hope to secure a win.
