No shocking result in a game when third ranked Yamagata (22-28) crushed 5th ranked Kagawa FA (17-31) in Takamatsu 97-71 on Saturday. Yamagata dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Kagawa FA's 42. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for American center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import forward Billy McShepard (208-87, college: Valdosta St., agency: Blacktop Management) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Yamagata players scored in double figures. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) answered with 25 points and 9 rebounds and forward Takada Shuichi (194-83) added 13 points in the effort for Kagawa FA. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Yamagata maintains third place with 22-28 record having nine points less than leader Akita NH. Kagawa FA lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 31 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
