Everything could happen in Melbourne at the game between two tied teams. Both leader Spectres and bottom-ranked Tigers had identical 0-0 record. But Tigers were not able to use a home court advantage and were crushed by the opponent from East Burwood 113-94 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Spectres. Tigers was better in fourth quarter 37-28. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Spectres (1-0) left bottom position moving up to third place in League. Loser Tigers still closes the standings with one game lost. Spectres will face Diamond Valley Eagles (#4) in Greensborough in the next round. Tigers will play at home against the league's leader Bandits (#1) and hope to get finally their first victory.
