The game in Brussels supposed to be also quite interesting. Seventh ranked Kangoeroes (11-14) played at the court of 8th ranked Basic-Fit Brussels (7-19). Kangoeroes smashed Basic-Fit Brussels 94-73 on Sunday. Kangoeroes had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. Point guard Ashton Gibbs (188-90, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Duran International) stepped up and scored 28 points and 5 assists (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners and point guard Kenyon McNeaill (185-91, college: Louisiana Tech) chipped in 12 points and 6 assists. Kangoeroes' coach Damir Milacic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Jeremy Simmons (204-89, college: Charleston) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and guard Mike Smith (198-87, college: E.Tenn.St.) scored 22 points (made all of his eight free throws). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kangoeroes moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Limburg United. Basic-Fit Brussels lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 19 games lost. Kangoeroes will meet at home bottom-ranked Liege Basket (#10) in the next round. Basic-Fit Brussels will play against the league's second-placed Antwerp Giants and hope to secure a win.
