Regular Season Round 32: Shimane SM - Osaka Evessa 55-62

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Shimane Magic (8-43) lost at home to third ranked Osaka Evessa (19-32) 62-55 on Sunday. American power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. The other American import center Keith Benson (211-88, college: Oakland) contributed with 6 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Osaka Evessa's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Panamanian forward Gyno Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Takuya Soma (181-91) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Shimane Magic. Osaka Evessa have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 19-32 record having twenty three points less than leader Ryukyu GK. Shimane Magic lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth place with 43 games lost. Osaka Evessa will face Yokohama BC (#6) at home in the next round. Shimane Magic will play against the league's leader Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya and hope to win that game.
