Regular Season Round 24: Hogsbo - IK Eos 80-75

There was no surprise in Goteborg where 8th ranked IK Eos (6-18) were defeated by sixth ranked Hogsbo (10-15) 80-75 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-75. Hogsbo made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Hogsbo outrebounded IK Eos 50-35 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Max Johansson (197-92) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Filip Sjostrom (200-90) who added 10 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Gustav Sundstrom (197-91) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and guard Olle Karlsson (193-96) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Hogsbo maintains sixth position with 10-15 record. IK Eos at the other side keep the eighth place with 18 games lost. Hogsbo will meet at home league's leader Koping Stars in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. IK Eos will play against Malbas (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
