There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Valsesia (15-13) was defeated at home by ninth ranked USE Basket (15-13) 73-65 on Sunday. USE Basket made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Valsesia outrebounded USE Basket 43-23 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Filippo Giannini (184-91) fired 17 points and 6 assists for the winners. Guard Sebastiano Perin (187-96) chipped in 18 points. Power forward Mirko Gloria (203-95) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Nicolo Gatti (196-91) added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Valsesia players scored in double figures. USE Basket moved-up to seventh place in B. USE Basket will face Moncalieri (#15) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Valsesia will play against San Miniato (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
