Regular Season Round 52: Toyotsu FE - Kanazawa Sam. 84-79

An interesting game for Toyotsu FE (32-19) which hosted in Nagoya 4th ranked Kanazawa Sam. (24-26). First ranked Toyotsu FE managed to get a 5-point victory 84-79. Toyotsu FE dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Kanazawa Sam.'s 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a very good performance for American center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import forward Rodney Carney (201-84, college: Memphis) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Toyotsu FE's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and guard Ide Yuji (181-88) added 17 points in the effort for Kanazawa Sam.They have a solid three-game winning streak. Toyotsu FE maintains first position with 32-19 record. Kanazawa Sam. lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourth place with 26 games lost. Toyotsu FE will face league's second-placed Cyberdyne IR in Tsukuba in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kanazawa Sam. will play at home against Orange Vikings and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
