Regular Season Round 52: Aomori Watts - Fukushima 86-83

The most exciting game of round 52 in the B League D2 took place in Aomori. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Fukushima (29-20) to fifth ranked Aomori Watts (14-37) 86-83 on Sunday evening. Aomori Watts made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Kyle Barone (208-89, college: Idaho) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) contributed with 15 points and 7 assists for the winners. American guard Deon Jones (198-93, college: Monmouth) replied with 18 points and 8 rebounds and forward Shyuhei Muto (192-91) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Fukushima. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fukushima's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aomori Watts maintains fifth position with 14-37 record, which they share with Bambitious Nara. Fukushima at the other side keeps the second place with 20 games lost. Aomori Watts is looking forward to face higher ranked Yamagata (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Fukushima will play against Iwate Big Bulls and is hoping to win this game.
