Regular Season Round 28: Roseto Sharks - F.Kontatto BO 82-84

Fifteenth-ranked Roseto Sharks (6-22) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked F.Kontatto BO (20-8) on Sunday. The visitors from Bologna managed to secure only two-point victory 84-82. However their fans expected much easier game. The winners were led by the former international forward Stefano Mancinelli (204-83) who scored that evening 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Daniele Cinciarini (194-83) supported him with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four F.Kontatto BO players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds by Nigerian forward Andy Ogide (204-87, college: Colorado St., agency: HMS) did not help to save the game for Roseto Sharks. Guard Marco Contento (190-91) added 24 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. F.Kontatto BO maintains second position in A2 with 20-8 record behind leader Alma Trieste. Loser Roseto Sharks keep the fifteenth place with 22 games lost. F.Kontatto BO will meet at home UCC Piacenza (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Roseto Sharks will play against Treviso Basket and hope to secure a win.
