Regular Season Round 9: Cerrado - Blumenau 82-85

A very interesting game took place in . It ended with only three-point home defeat of 9th ranked Cerrado (1-10) to seventh ranked Blumenau (4-6) 85-82 on Sunday evening. Blumenau made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. It was a good game for forward Bruno Lazzaris (202-90) who led his team to a victory with 29 points. Power forward Diego Silva (206-90) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Eric Soares (205-86) answered with 15 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Frederico Lima (183-80) added 12 points and 7 assists in the effort for Cerrado. Four Cerrado players scored in double figures. Cerrado's coach Alexandre Jackson rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Blumenau maintains seventh place with 4-6 record. Cerrado at the other side stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Blumenau's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Sao Jose at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cerrado will play against Macae (#6) and hope to win that game.
