Fifteenth-ranked Betaland Cdo (5-20) gave a tough game to eleventh ranked Openjobmetis VA (12-13) in Capo d'Orlando. The visitors from Varese managed to secure only two-point victory 75-73. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian-American swingman Stan Okoye (198-91, college: VMI) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds. Serbian swingman Aleksa Avramovic (192-94, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 17 points for the winners. American forward Justin Knox (205-89, college: N.Carolina, agency: Two Points) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import point guard Adam Smith (185-92, college: Georgia Tech) added 14 points and 6 assists in the effort for Betaland Cdo. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Openjobmetis VA. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Banco di Srd and Fiat TO. Betaland Cdo lost their fourteenth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with 20 games lost. Openjobmetis VA's next round opponent will be Grissin Bon RE (#12) in Reggio Emilia.
