Very expected game in Sevilla where 17th ranked Real Betis (7-19) was defeated by tenth ranked UCAM Murcia (14-12) 102-87 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by UCAM Murcia. Real Betis was better in fourth quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Real Betis 37-18 including 16 on the offensive glass. UCAM Murcia shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. British Ovie Soko (201-91, college: Duquesne) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and Brazilian center Augusto Lima (207-91) chipped in 15 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. American-Czech swingman Blake Schilb (201-83, college: Loyola, IL, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 20 points and American Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four UCAM Murcia and five Real Betis players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. UCAM Murcia have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Iberostar Tener. Loser Real Betis dropped to the sixteenth position with 19 games lost. UCAM Murcia will face higher ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (#8) in Madrid in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Real Betis will play on the road against FC Barcelona (#3) and hope to win that game.
