Regular Season Round 28: Civitanova - San Severo 68-83

No shocking result in a game when first ranked San Severo (25-3) defeated on the road 6th ranked Civitanova (15-13) 83-68 on Sunday. San Severo dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Civitanova's 24. They outrebounded Civitanova 44-27 including 33 on the defensive glass. The former international power forward Massimo Rezzano (205-82, agency: SPORTlab Agency) fired 22 points for the winners. Guard Leonardo Ciribeni (190-92) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Riccardo Coviello (195-88) produced 13 points and 8 rebounds and Alessandro Cassese (186-97) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Four Civitanova players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. San Severo maintains first position in B with 25-3 record. Newly promoted Civitanova keeps the sixth place with 13 games lost. San Severo will face league's second-placed Recanati at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Civitanova will play against Cerignola Udas (#13) and hope to win that game.
