Regular Season Round 27: Le Portel - Gravelines 69-80

There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Le Portel (13-14) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (13-14) 80-69. The game was mostly controlled by Gravelines-Dunkerque. Le Portel was better in third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gravelines-Dunkerque players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American Chris Johnson (198-90, college: Dayton) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Ian Miller (190-91, college: Florida St.) accounted for 14 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side. American power forward Franklin Hassell (205-88, college: ODU) came up with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Burkinabe Jean-Victor Traore (203-85) added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Le Portel in the defeat. Gravelines-Dunkerque moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Levallois and Le Portel. Gravelines-Dunkerque's next round opponent will be Chalons-Reims (#14) at home.
