Third-ranked COR-Borisfen (32-6) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Tsmoki-Minsk (37-5) in Mogilev on Tuesday. The visitors from Minsk managed to secure only three-point victory 89-86. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of COR-Borisfen. They outrebounded COR-Borisfen 46-25 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by COR-Borisfen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Aliaksei Trastsinetski (200-86) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. International power forward Maksim Salash (206-96) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Russian Benjamin-Pavel Dudu (200-91, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Alex Strauther (177-91, college: CS Dominguez H.) added 18 points, 8 assists and 5 steals in the effort for COR-Borisfen. Four Tsmoki-Minsk and five COR-Borisfen players scored in double figures. Tsmoki-Minsk have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 37-5 record. COR-Borisfen at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. Tsmoki-Minsk are looking forward to face Vitebsk (#4) at home in the next round. COR-Borisfen will have a break next round.
