Regular Season Round 22: Rapla - Parnu 73-80

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Rapla (15-11) against fifth ranked Parnu (11-15) on Tuesday night. Host Rapla was defeated by Parnu in a tough game in Rapla 73-80. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 18-15. But Rapla won second period 17-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Parnu dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Rapla's 26. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Rapla was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Siim-Markus Post (183-97) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 assists to lead the effort and forward Mihkel Kirves (190-96) supported him with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Even 20 points and 8 rebounds by Croatian center Domagoj Bubalo (212-91, agency: 011 Sports) did not help to save the game for Rapla. The former international Gert Dorbek (193-85) added 15 points and 6 assists for lost side. Parnu maintains fifth position with 11-15 record. Rapla at the other side keeps the third place with 11 games lost.
