Top ranked Kutaisi (19-8) recorded its eighth loss in Rustavi on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Energy Invest (18-10) 86-80. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 32-17. But Kutaisi won second period 26-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kutaisi's coach Konstantine Tugushi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Energy Invest moved-up to second place. Kutaisi at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost. Energy Invest will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kutaisi will play at home against Cactus Tbilisi and is hoping to win this game.
