Regular Season Round 22: AEK - PAOK 72-81

Round 22 most important game was a victory of PAOK over 6th ranked AEK 81-72 on Wednesday night. The game without a history. PAOK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Darnell Jackson (206-85, college: Kansas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import point guard Phil Goss (188-83, college: Drexel) contributed with 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. International Dusan Sakota (210-86, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Mike Green (185-85, college: Butler) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for AEK. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. PAOK (14-8) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Promitheas. AEK at the other side dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with Lavrio. PAOK is looking forward to face Lavrio (#6) at home in the next round. AEK will play against G.Larissa-Faros in Keratsiniou and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
