Regular Season Round 22: Trikalla - Panionios 76-81

No shocking result in a game when twelfth ranked Panionios (7-15) beat bottom-ranked Aiolos Trikallon (3-19) in Trikala 81-76 on Wednesday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Aiolos Trikallon won third quarter 20-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Panionios won last quarter 20-16. They made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Aiolos Trikallon was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American point guard Tyrone Brazelton (184-86, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Higher Vision Sports) who helped to win the game recording 25 points (made all of his eight free throws). Serbian-Canadian power forward Dejan Kravic (211-90, college: Texas Tech) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard D.J. Richardson (190-91, college: Illinois, agency: Inception Sports) replied with 20 points and his fellow American import point guard Gary Talton (185-90, college: Ill.-Chicago) added 13 points and 7 assists in the effort for Aiolos Trikallon. Four Panionios and five Aiolos Trikallon players scored in double figures. Panionios moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Aris and Koroivos. Aiolos Trikallon lost ninth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 19 lost games. Panionios will face league's second-placed Olympiacos in Pireus in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Aiolos Trikallon will play at home against Aris (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
