Finals Game 1: Virum - SISU 72-58

Virum knocked down SISU to earn the third position in Dameligaen. It looked good early as SISU took a 15-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Virum took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 14 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding SISU to just 7 points in second quarter. They outrebounded SISU 52-41 including 18 on the offensive glass. American forward Valerie Driscoll (193-92, college: Quinnipiac) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and forward Ellen Iversen (180-97) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American forward Kama Griffitts (183-91, college: Arizona) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Catharina Jensen (182-89) added 19 points and 8 rebounds respectively for SISU in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
