Regular Season Round 27: Burgos - Andorra 92-86

We should mention about the upset which took place in Burgos, where higher ranked Andorra (15-12) lost to fourteenth ranked Burgos (9-18) in a road game 86-92. Andorra was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 34-26 charge of Burgos, which allowed them to win the game. They made 23-of-30 charity shots (76.7 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Andorra helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Deon Thompson (203-88, college: N.Carolina) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. American-Georgian point guard Corey Fisher (186-88, college: Villanova) accounted for 19 points and 5 assists for the winning side. International point guard Jaime Fernandez (186-93) came up with 15 points and 4 assists and French point guard Andrew Albicy (177-90) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively for Andorra in the defeat. Four Burgos and five Andorra players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Burgos. Newly promoted Burgos maintains fourteenth place with 9-18 record. Andorra at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. Burgos' next round opponent will be Real Betis (#17) in Sevilla.
