There was a surprise result when seventh ranked BA CoE (1-3) defeated top-ranked Ballarat Rush (1-1) in Canberra 85-81 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 39-34 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. BA CoE forced 19 Ballarat Rush turnovers. It was a good game for forward Isabel Palmer (178-1) who led her team to a victory with 27 points (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Kendall King-Hawea contributed with 15 points for the winners. BA CoE's coach used entire bench in such tough game.
