Regular Season Round 9: Cerrado - Londrina 67-71

Very expected game when 9th ranked Cerrado (1-10) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Londrina (7-2) 71-67. It was a good game for Luis-Fernando Lima (199-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds. Forward Ricardo de-Azevedo (201-83) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Londrina players scored in double figures. Eric Soares (205-86) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Paulo Da-Costa (191-94) added 12 points in the effort for Cerrado. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Londrina have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Cerrado at the other side stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Londrina's next round opponent will be Brasilia (#5) on the road. Cerrado will play against Macae (#6) and hope to win that game.
