Regular Season Round 28: Quimper - Blois 80-99

Leader ADA Blois delivered the twenty third victory. This time they crushed 15th ranked Quimper UJAP (8-20) 99-80. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Quimper UJAP. The game was mostly controlled by ADA Blois. Quimper UJAP was better in third quarter 27-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ADA Blois forced 22 Quimper UJAP turnovers. Strangely Quimper UJAP outrebounded ADA Blois 36-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Florian Thibedore (195-90) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 6 assists. American forward Tyren Johnson (202-88, college: La-Lafayette) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. ADA Blois' coach Mickael Hay allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Bernard King (196-81, college: Texas A&M) replied with 23 points and 7 assists and Kevin Mondesir (204-91) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Quimper UJAP. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. ADA Blois (23-5) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Quimper UJAP at the other side dropped to the sixteenth place with 20 games lost. They share the position with Nantes. ADA Blois will play against STB Le Havre (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Quimper UJAP will play against Provence Basket in Fos-sur-Mer and hopes to get back on the winning track.
