Regular Season Round 28: Legia - Miasto Szkla 101-84

Bottom-ranked Legia managed to get the second consecutive victory. This time newly promoted Legia won against fifteenth-ranked Miasto Szkla in Warszawa 101-84. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 17-point difference proves that Legia was well-prepared to that game. 24 personal fouls committed by Miasto Szkla helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by American guard Anthony Beane (188-94, college: S.Illinois, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored that evening 31 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import point guard Chauncey Collins (183-95, college: TCU) supported him with 21 points. Four Legia players scored in double figures. Legia's coach Tane Spasev allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 20 points and 7 rebounds by Croatian guard Jakov Mustapic (193-94) did not help to save the game for Miasto Szkla. American power forward Peter Alexis (213-92, college: Thomas Jefferson) added 14 points for lost side. Newly promoted Legia maintains seventeenth position with 5-25 record. Miasto Szkla at the other side keeps the fifteenth place with 22 games lost. Legia's next round opponent will be higher ranked Rosa (#7) in Radom and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
